Jan delivered what he promised: he implemented structure, governance, and a solid business transformation plan for DLL Europe. In addition, the Quarterly Business Review meetings, initiated since he joined and facilitated by Jan, were a great success. Jan and I worked together on a SAP S/4HANA implementation, which started spring 2020 and ended summer 2023. Next to that he was also involved in a legal restructuring of the company, change of banks, as well as setting up a new collection management system.
During this time I have gotten to know Jan as a committed person and a great team player, with extreme good knowledge about the leasing business. Due to his extensive knowledge he was able to help develop other team members too, to learn and grow. He has a very structured way of working, keeps track on all the open items, which is important while managing a big project like this. On top, he takes time to thoroughly review the business processes from start to finish, to then help the technical team understand what kind of solution is required to be build. Jan rolls up his sleeves where needed and is willing to go the extra mile, even if this is not within his area of responsibility. He is a true team player and fun to work with. I had the pleasure to work with Jan during 3,5 years of transformation in Leaseplan Sweden. During our time togheter Jan lead the pilot project to move from NAV to SAP. A huge project that took almost 3 years to complete. He also lead a legal merge, new bank implementation and collections system amongst other things.
Jan was vital in our success with his resilience and commitment. He is always on top of items and processes. Jan is a very pragmatic person that always finds a solution to any given challenge. In my view one of Jans best qualities is he’s personality. Always positive can do mindset that rubs of on the colleagues around him. His tiredless working moral makes you want to give more and more. Jan was my project leader during a large and intensive project, where many participants were not used to working in projects.
